UltraISO Premium gives you all the tools you need to create new ISO files, directly edit existing ones, or convert CD and DVD images to ISO. With a nice combination of features and impressive processing power, this app is a great choice for anyone who works with ISO files on a regular basis or who wants to create bootable disks. ProsLots of functions: Whether you're looking to convert a CD or DVD image file to another format, or you want to make a bootable CD from scratch, this program has the tools you need. It supports conversion to ISO, BIN/CUE, Alcohol, Nero, Xbox, and more, and you can also edit ISO files directly through the main interface.Virtual drives: This program is capable of emulating ISO images as well, with the option of using up to eight virtual drives. With this level of functionality, you should have no problem completing just about any task you have on tap. ConsUninviting interface: The interface of this app is pretty plain and technical-looking, which could make it a bit intimidating to newer users.
Experienced users won't have much trouble finding what they're looking for, but even new users can learn their way around quickly, as long as they're not put off by the technical-looking initial presentation. Bottom LineUltraISO Premium provides just about every ISO-related feature you'd want to see, and these features all work smoothly. While the interface could be a bit more inviting, it does give access to all the tools you need to complete various tasks. The trial version of this program is mostly fully-functional, but it does limit the size of the files you can work with.Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of UltraISO Premium 9.6.2.3059.

UltraISO can extract, create, edit, and convert CD/DVD image files. It can directly edit an ISO file, make ISO images from CD/DVD-ROMs, create a new ISO from files and folders on your computer, and make bootable CDs and DVDs. In addition, UltraISO can convert nearly all known CD and DVD image formats to ISO, BIN/CUE, Nero (NRG), Alcohol 120 percentage (MDS/MDF), and CloneCD (CCD/IMG/SUB) formats, as well as burn CD/DVD images directly with built-in burning engine and emulate ISO images with up to 8 virtual CD/DVD drives. Reply by NXSF1Y on June 23, 2016The program didn't install unwanted applications on your computer, you did.
You just skimmed through the install process without reading and opting out of the other apps. UltraISO don't work with Mac computers only Windows. If you have done your research you would have known this before finding out the hard way. There are alternatives for Mac computers as you have discovered.
UltraISO Premium once paid for on Windows is a very good program to have. It can duplicate retail discs, create and burn, and extract to and from images in a nice looking interface. You can also make Multiboot discs with a third party add on. It can now handle.DAA format that was only previously featured in PowerISO. So it can handle just about every image format out there for Windows. Reply by goyta on February 27, 2014Not sure what you did, but video DVDs have a special format that requires transcoding, conversion and a lot of other things.

There is specialized software to do that and UltraISO is not one of such titles - it's beyond its scope and capabilities. If you just created an ISO with video files and expected the disc to play on a DVD player, it would never work, really.

(Hint: the disc should contain a folder called VIDEOTS with a lot of files with weird names like VIDEOTS.VOB and VTS010.IFO for your DVD player to recognize and play it.). Reply by goyta on February 27, 2014A PUP is not exactly malware, at least in the sense that word is usually understood, although it can be annoying, unwanted and a breech of privacy. It comprises such things as browser toolbars, ad servers, etc., with the purpose either of showing you ads or collecting demographic consumer profiles for ad companies. The ubiquitous and infamous Ask toolbar is the best-known example. They usually play on you absent-mindedly authorizing their installation without realizing what you're doing (e.g., you just keep clicking 'Next' without really reading when you install a program). That said, I use a lot of great software that includes PUPs in the installation (developers are paid to include them), and one is missing a lot if one avoids such titles altogether. I recommend that you always pay very close attention to every installation screen, as some can be tricky.
